HyperWorks Partner Alliance Heavy Industry Webinar Series
Tuesday,April 05, 2011
Time : 11:00 AM US EDT (GMT -4)
Overview
Companies at the forefront of the heavy vehicles industry understand the importance of design optimization and simulation to their production strategies. It is essential to find new and innovative ways to optimize time, money, and resources by creating the optimal design before manufacturing your first prototype.
Increasing the durability and reducing the noise are only two examples among the gamut of functional requirements that are influenced by the dynamic loads experienced by the vehicle under operating conditions. Hence, understanding the effect of the dynamic loads is critical to develop high performance products. The effective use of CAE and test approaches is critical to understand the product performance under dynamic loads. Damping estimation and correlation of test and CAE results are two important steps. The webinar will give an overview of these steps and the case studies are demonstrated using VMAP.
