Key Features

  • Data Acquisition and Signal generation for Experimental Modal Analysis (SISO to MIMO)
  • Curve fitting algorithms with automation
  • Test-FEA Correlation and Model Updating Solvers
  • Interoperability with FEA software (NASTRAN, SIMULIA, ANSYS, RADIOSS)
  • Compatible with Laser Vibrometers (non-contact measurements, MEMS, hot surfaces)
  • Programming Interface with Scilab (text-based and graphical)
  • Complete set of damping models (material damping to multi-mode damping) for realistic dynamic simulations
  • Various File Format (UFF, STL, etc ) Import and export engines

What is 2-D approach?

2-D Approach refers to the use of engineering simulation and testing optimally to develop a novel product that meets the customer’s requirements.

TechPassion is an ISO 9001:2000 certified engineering product company focused on developing the next generation software tools that would bridge engineering simulation and testing.

By smartly leveraging the 2-D approach, we have helped customers understand their product designs in profound ways that were not possible earlier.

What are the drivers of the 2-D Approach?

  • Staying ahead of competition
  • First to market
  • Development within budget
  • Global product development
  • Eliminate late stage design changes
  • Avoid costly product recalls

Scilab is free open source software with a GPL compatible license, developed by the Scilab Consortium.

All Scilab libraries are free with accepted and recognized licenses by the FLOSS community (Free, Libre Open Source Software). The license is one of the key criteria for the selection of a library of Scilab.

The Scilab Consortium encourages its team to contribute to third party projects which are used in Scilab. This is regularly done in different ways by:

    • reporting bugs
    • providing patches
    • providing feedback

Over the years, contributions have been numerous on projects such as gfortran, matio, lapack, hdf5, jhdf, jgraphx, autoconf, automake, libtool, coin-or, getfem, indefero, kdbg, OpenMPI, Launchpad, flexdock...

The Scilab Consortium R&D Team is also in touch with many packagers of GNU/Linux, Unix and BSD distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, Mandriva, Gentoo, Redhat, Fedora, OpenSolaris) in order to help them to provide Scilab in their distributions in the best possible way.
